Charcuterie Board Care

Our Charcuterie boards are made from a variety of different hard woods and materials. Ranging from acacia wood, bamboo, mango wood, and walnut.

All are food safe woods and are coated with a 100%FOOD SAFE resin.

We use High Quality Epoxy Resin to ensure contact with food is safe and BPA-free and colors come from a variety of pigments and are curated to
create the beautiful design of your board. Then each is finished with a food safe oil and food safe wax to protect your board from ware and to prevent staining from certain foods.

Each handcrafted board is unique and has its own characteristics. Due to the nature and properties of how the resin is during the creative process, the look of your board is one of a kind and cannot be recreated. No two will ever look the same.

Now that you have your beautiful new resin board, it’s
important to know how to care for it to keep it shining and lasting a lifetime. 

The key to proper board care is understanding the properties of your wood and basic maintenance. Don't worry, it’s pretty simple and there are just a few basic do's and don'ts. 

CARING FOR YOUR WAVE BOARD:

  • We recommend you wash your board before the first
    use. They are HAND WASH ONLY; we recommend you use a gentle sponge and cool/
    warm soapy water to clean your board.

  • DO NOT SOAK BOARD, PUT INTO THE DISHWASHER,
    SUBMERGE OR USE HOT WATER. The resin will scratch if you use a rough sponge or
    other cleaning items. Please avoid using harsh chemicals on your board.

  • Keep out of direct sun light and store in a cool,
    dry place. Sun will fade the resin if left outside for prolonged periods of
    time.

  • DO NOT CUT ON YOUR WAVE BOARD! Although this is a
    hardwood made for cutting, we DO NOT recommend you cut on the board. The resin
    will scratch and leave marks in your design. Your board is designed for food PLACEMENT
    and DISPLAY ONLY and is not intended to be used as a cutting board.

  • To keep your board in its best condition, we
    recommend that every so often you apply a coat of food safe wood wax on your
    board, this will keep your board looking beautiful longer is vital to help
    prevent stains from certain foods and protect your board. Due to wear and tear,
    over time your board may fade, become rough, and develop minor scratches.

** Berries and other darkly colored
food items WILL stain the wood portion of your board. To avoid this, place
those items on the resin portion, or place a piece of wax paper beneath when
serving. Also, following these care tips will help prevent that. **
